Recommended places to eat

Fine dining at Ama restaurant

Dining out - This is a short list of some of our favourite restaurants, we recommend them based on our experience of their food and also on their service.  There are of course loads of other great places to eat and drink that we haven’t tried yet and we would love to hear from our guests about them.   We are also recommending the restaurants within easy walking distance.

https://www.stclementsrestaurant.co.uk one of our favourite restaurants, St Clements offers delicious food, great well priced wines, outstanding service. They also have a really excellent value mid week lunch menu.

https://threefacestapas.com a great little tapas restaurant hidden up a side street in the heart of St Leonards. Wonderful food in a friendly atmosphere.

https://www.kino-teatr.co.uk/parlour Parlour is located within the Kino art house cinema.  More casual than the former recommendations, but excellent, we have even ordered food to eat while watching a film. Decadent!

https://www.heistmarket.com Street food with a collection of restaurants and bars, there is sure to be something you love.  We know that the fish restaurant Boatyard takes reservations and we highly recommend their surf and turf. The rest are without reservations and worth a visit.

https://farmyardwine.com Farmyard offers farm to table food and some amazing Sunday roasts, they are famous for their wines.

https://www.grazeongrand.com have changed their offerings from restaurant to wines, food shop and light meals.  Wonderful views over the sea, a friendly place to eat something light.

More casual dining

https://www.dandeliondeli.co.uk Whats not to love about this friendly restaurant on the Kings road, generally open from breakfast and lunch and for coffees, they often open evenings for amazing food in a casual restaurant

https://www.goatledge.com Located right on the Marina, one of the best places to watch the sun go down, with or without sundowners - you can sit on the beach or book one of their lovely little drinks ‘sheds’.  Great for drinks and light snacks. Booking recommended.

https://www.halfmanhalfburger.com Famous burger restaurant on the South coast, if you love burgers and value high welfare meats but can cope with a brioche burger bun, this place is well worth a visit.

https://www.tommyspizzeria.co.uk There are lots of great pizza restaurants and this happens to be our favourite, casual dining, well priced wines, good service.  When we walk in the door the staff know to get the ‘Hastings Hot’ pizza ready.

https://www.facebook.com/The-master-fish-bar-421044508234145/ The Master fish bar has the best fish and chips.  Generous portions of chips and fish (pennies extra for fresh rather than frozen fish) and gluten free batter.  We don’t think that it tastes quite as good unless eaten on the beach, but be warned Hastings seagulls know this too and will ambush the innocent!.
